voluntary training 

Per USA Swimming rules as of 1 Feb 2024, there is no Meet Referee certification and any certified Referee can act as a Meet Referee. Referees can use this voluntary training process to learn about the position of Meet Referee

Prerequisites:

​

• USA Swimming member in good standing (current registration, APT and BC)

• Current certification as a Referee (it is suggested that a minimum of 10 sessions be completed as a certified deck referee)

Voluntary Training:

​

• Serve as apprentice to an experienced Meet Referee at a PVS sanctioned meet (of at least three sessioons). This should include participating in pre-meet and post-meet responsibilities.
