Update: 5:00 am Sunday January 23.

Based on current information from the facilities, current weather and traffic conditions, and the predicted Sunday weather forecast, all Sunday sessions of the January Open will be held as scheduled. Please evaluate driving conditions in your area before heading out. And, please use extra caution in the parking lots and roads at these venues.

Check back here before you leave for the meet for any changes that may occur. You can call the PGS&LC at (301) 583-2400 and the MLK Jr. Swim Center at (301) 989-1206 to get updated status on the condition of their facility. But, be aware that their personnel may be busy in preparing their roads, parking lots and facility for the meet.

Update: 7:15 pm Saturday January 22.

Based on the current weather forecasts, all Sunday sessions of the January Open will be run as scheduled. The PGS&LC and MLK Swim Center have stated that they will have roads and parking lots inside their facilities cleared in the morning. After receiving status reports from the two facilities early tomorrow morning, an updated status will be posted here by 5:00am Sunday.

Per PVS policy, if the facilities are open and available, the meet will go on as scheduled. Please make your own determination as to the conditions of travel to the venues.

If the MLK facility is open for the morning session, the scheduled Officials Clinics WILL be held.

Update: 9:15 pm Friday January 21.

Both the PGS&LC and MLK Swim Center have said that they will attempt to keep their facilities open for the meets this weekend. As such, the Saturday morning sessions will run as planned.

If conditions change and necessitate any change in the schedule, it will be posted here as soon as possible.

PVS swimming families should be aware that it is PVS policy to make every attempt to conduct activities as they are scheduled. However, if the facility we are scheduled to use decides to close; our activities are also cancelled.
