- Lee District will be swum as a 10 lane course on Saturday (1000 Free) and as a 12 lane course on Sunday (1650 Free).
- It is anticipated that electronic timing will be used at this meet. However, it will not be available on Lane 11 and Lane 12 -- when used on Sunday.
- There will be an opportuity for continuous warm-up/warm-down throughout the meet..
The size of the meet makes it important that the meet stay on
schedule -- particularly on SUNDAY. THEREFORE ALL SWIMMERS AND COACHES SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT
EACH SWIMMER IS READY TO SWIM AND THAT THEIR TIMER (REQUIRED) AND LAP COUNTER
(OPTIONAL) ARE IN PLACE PRIOR TO THE CONCLUSION OF THE PRIOR
HEAT.
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS
Both Days
- Swimmers should report to Clerk of Course promptly upon arrival.
- Lane assignments for each heat will be determined approximately 15 minutes prior to the time the heat starts.
- All swimmers will be provided with a lane timing card showing their heat and lane assignment when they have
been seeded into a heat.
- Once a heat has been seeded, meet management is not required to reseed it.
- Swimmers are strongly encouraged to report early and will be
permitted to swim in an earlier heat if a
lane is available.
- Due to time constraints all heats will be swum full.based on the fastest swimmers who have reported when the heat is closed, combining sexes if necessary.
Saturday -- 1000 Free
- No more than 11 heats of the Women's 1000 and 10 heats of the Men's 1000 are expected to be swum on Saturday.
- Depending on the number of swimmers who report, less heats may be needed.
- Accordingly, men should report in time to be ready to swim no later than 11:16 and women no later than 11:31.
Sunday -- 1650 Free
- The session must conlude no later than 12 Noon. Therefore, no heat may start after 11:35 am.
- If the meet progresses on schedule, this will allow 12 heats to be swum.
- The number of swimmers entered is much larger than last year. Currently, 160 swimmers (women and men) are entered. Swimming 12 heats in 12 lanes will permit 144 swimmers to compete.
- It is anticipated scratches will reduce the size of the meet to at least this size. Should this not happen or if delays are encountered, it may be necessary to swim the slowest heat(s) -- 2 swimmers to a lane.
- It is anticipated that no more than 7 heats of the Women's 1650 and 5 heats of the Men's 1650 will be swum on Sunday.
- The last heat may have women and men combined.
- Accordingly, men should report in time to be ready to swim no later than 9:59 and women no later than 10:20
