Daniel James McGivern

Potomac Valley Swimming extends its heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and teammates of Daniel McGivern.

Daniel died unexpectedly on Monday evening, October 1. He was part of the National Training Group at the MLK training site of RMSC. Daniel had swum for several years at that site. He had also represented Potomac Valley Swimming on the 2000 Short Course Eastern Zone team.

Daniel was also beginnning his junior year at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School where he was a member of their swim team.

Viewing, for close friends and family only, will be at Collins Funeral Home, Friday, October 5 from 2 PM till 4 PM. Viewing for the school community will be at Good Counsel's Rafferty Center, Friday, October 5 from 7 PM till 9 PM. The funeral will be at Resurrection Church in Burtonsville, Saturday, October 6 at 10 AM.
