NOMINEE INFORMATION

All nominees are invited to submit a brief statement introducing themselves and why they wish to be elected.  Statements will be posted as they are received.

Marie-Beth (Boots) Hall

Started officiating under AAU even before USA-Swimming was established.

In her LSC she was certification officer for 12 years, officials chair for 6-8 years, officials committee for 14 years, senior clinic instructor for 10 years.

Also officiates Masters Meets (including referee at Masters Nationals); NCAA meets (Conference Referee for Colonial Athletic Conference), and summer league meets.

Her four children (all former swimmers) have all been officials with three of them USA-S officials and one who has officiated in summer league and overseas in Bahrain.

Nationally, she was on the Education Committee for 6 years; the on-line testing subcommittee for 2 years and is now on the Officials Committee.

At home, she loves to work 8 and under meets as it's an opportunity to train new young officials.  Can't wait until her youngest granddaughter is ready for her first meet (she's now only 4).

Lionel Béjean

I have now been involved as a swimming official for seven years working at PVS meets, Masters meets, high school meets, MCSL meets, and CCSDA meets.

I have three swimmers at home ages 8 through 17 and plan on being on deck for many more years.

I have enjoyed meeting coaches, swimmers, timers, parents, and officials at all those meets.

The best part has been to meet great volunteers who tirelessly give their time to make swim meets possible. I have inspired by many and have decided to become more involved with the league and try to help PVS and new officials any way I can the way Boots Hall has helped me all these years.
