What is Your Favorite PVS Pool?
January 29, 2008 - The results of the first PVS Athletes Survey are now in, and like the survey taken at the Tom Dolan Meet in Dec. 2007, the favorite pool is George Mason University.
Thirty eight PVS athletes took part in the survey. Fifteen swimmers selected GMU as their favorite pool. The reasons most selected were: Fast, Facilities, Deck Space, Water Temperature, Water Depth, Lighting and Spectator Seating. Comments included: "fast", "great facility", and "separate warm up/down pool".
Eleven other pools received votes, and the most selected reason was Close to Home. The reason selected least for any of pools was Concessions. One athlete commented "we are there to swim, not for the concessions".
The respondents were almost evenly divided between VA (15) and MD (23). All age groups were represented in the results, with the 15&O having the most (15) responses. Swimmers from nine different teams participated in the survey.
