R-19 202.5. REQUIREMENTS FOR OBSERVED SWIMS — Official times achieved as observed swims in collegiate, high school, YMCA, Masters, etc. meets, held under other than USA Swimming rules, will be acceptable for Official Verification Certification (OVC) purposes. Swims may be observed by assigned USA Swimming officials for conformance with USA Swimming technical rules in a meet conducted under other than USA Swimming rules if all of the following conditions are met: .1 (Moved to beginning of above paragraph) .2, .3 & .4 Renumber as .1, .2 and .3 respectively.
REQUIREMENTS FOR OBSERVED SWIMS

Purpose: To move existing 202.5.1 to the beginning of the section since it is not a requirement but a statement of the purpose of the section. A new .4 is added to the section to assure that observers at these national championships are of national caliber.
