U.S. Paralympics Can-Am Spring Championships

PVS swimmers Anna Johannes (Potomac Marlins) and Jessica Rogers (The FISH)
qualified for and swam at the US Paralympics Spring Nationals. This
meet was held in San Antonio, TX, March 25-27 as part of the Can-Am
series, designed to bring para-swimmers in both Canada and the United
States together twice a year to swim in competitions that promote fast
swimming at the international level. Over 160 swimmers with
disabilities competed at this meet, attracting not only the top
athletes from Canada and the US but from Mexico, Columbia and Turkey as
well.
Jessica swam the 100/200 Breast, 100 Back, 200 IM, 100 Free, and the 50 Fly. Anna swam the 100 Breast, 100/200 Fly, 100 Back, 100 Free and the 200 IM. Anna’s winning time in the 200 IM set a new American record in her classification (SM9).
