Eligibility Open to all invited registered Potomac Valley athletes and invited USA Swimming athletes.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ATHLETES ARE REGISTERED FOR 2007 BEFORE ENTERING THEM.

Warning Any club that enters an unregistered or improperly Registered athlete, falsifies an entry in any way, or permits An unregistered coach to represent them, will be fined the Sum of $100.00 and no further entries will be accepted from that club until the said fine has been paid. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ATHLETES ARE REGISTERED FOR 2007 BEFORE ENTERING THEM
Rules Current USA Swimming rules shall govern the meet.

There are no Qualifying Time Standards for this meet.  All events are timed finals.

A contestant may compete in a maximum of 6 individual events in the meet and not exceed more than 3 events per session.

Swimmers shall compete at the age attained on the first day of the meet.

Meet Manager reserves the right to adjust the warm-up times after the entries have been received.

Meet Manager has the right to Positive Check-in all 200 yards events int he interest of managing the timelines.

Dive-over starts will be used at this meet.  Coaches are requested to review Guidance for Dive-Over Start for Coaches.  Officials are requested to review Protocol for Dive-Over Starts.

Inclusion Policy for Swimmers with a Disability PVS and the host clubs along with their Meet Directors are committed to the Inclusion Policy as adopted by the BOD. Athletes with a disability are welcome and are asked to provide advanced notice of desired accommodations to the Meet Director and PVS Senior Chairman Don Riedlinger at drieddlin@erols.com. The athlete (or the coach) is also responsible for notifying the session referee of any disability prior to the competition.
Scoring There will be no scoring at this meet.
Warm-upThe prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed.  The Meet Director may determine the structure of the warm-up, including times and lane assignments.
Supervision Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and families and for cleaning up their team areas. 
Deck Access Only athletes, USA Swimming certified coaches and deck officials are permitted on the pool deck.  Working coaches and deck officials are required to display their 2007 USA Swimming card.  Parents not working the meet as a deck official, volunteer lane timer, or other meet position are not permitted on the pool deck.
Deck Entry Fee $10.00 per event. Deck entry will close at 12:40pm
Admission There is no admission charge
Programs $2.50 per program.

Fees Fee for individual events are $3.50.
Each participating club is requested to remit one check to cover the entry fees for the entire team.  Do not send cash.  Make check payable to VSC.  Entry fees are due with entries.  Mail your check to VSC, PO Box 22146, Alexandria, VA.

E-mail Entries Entries may be sent via e-mail.
  1. Entries must arrive by the due date and time.
  2. Include with your commlink file one (1) report by name and one (1) by event.  Create these reports in Team Manager and save as Word for Windows files.  You must also check the box for "proof of time."
  3. In the body of your e-mail, provide entry numbers (girls, boys totals).  Include contact information (e-mail, phone, officials contact).
  4. Send e-mail entries to Bob Hardy, rhardy2170@verizon.net, 703-331-2170.
  5. Bob Hardy will CONFIRM receiving your entries via e-mail with 24 hours.  Clubs transmitting entries that do NOT receive a CONFIRMATION from Bob Hardy should contact him or Victor Abrahamian by e-mail.
  6. Bob Hardy will not accept phone or fax entries.
  7. No late/deck entries are permitted for this meet.
Optional: Before preparing your entries, events for this meet can be downloaded and then imported into team manager (go to team manager/file/import/meet events). The file will be available zipped 21mm011307.zip

5:00pm Friday January 4, 2007

Important: The above date is the deadline for clubs to submit their entries to the Meet Director. Therefore, clubs usually set an earlier deadline to receive entries from their swimmers. Check with your club for this information.
