Traffic Notice Affecting the 2007 January Open
As part of the Wilson
Bridge project, the Outer Loop of the Beltway will be closed at the
MD-210 interchange (Exit 3) during
the overnight hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. There will
be a detour around the closure by exiting at Exit 3A and getting
back on past the interchange. There is a potential for delays.
They have announced that the Outer Loop will be closed until 8AM both Saturday and Sunday.
If you familiar with this alternative, another detour is to cross the Wilson Bridge and then take I-295 North to US Route 50 East (which you will get to immediately after leaving DC at Eastern Ave) and then take MD Rt 202 East to Brightstreet Road (where you will turn right and proceed as normal.)
