| Eligibility: | Open to all Potomac Valley registered swimmers with the entry certification of their
USA Swimming Coach of Record.
- Due to the nature of this event there will be a maximum of 200 entries accepted.
- No on-site entries will be accepted
- 5k athletes must be 13 years of age and older on June 7, 2003
- 2k athletes must be 11 years of age and older on June 7, 2003

Rules: | Current USA Swimming rules shall govern the meet. Only one (2k or 5K) event can be entered.
Attendance at the pre-race meeting is mandatory. Wet Suites are NOT authorized. All swimmers must complete the race(s) inside one half hour after the fifth place swimmer finishes. All swimmers remaining in the course beyond the time limit will be disqualified - those swimmers must comply with instructions from support craft crew. Swimmers must complete the waiver along with the event application. Athletes under 18 must get a parental/Legal Guardian
signature.

Course: | A 2 Kilometer rectangle and a 5 kilometer rectangle marked by 16" buoys approximately 250
meters apart and turn points designated by 24" buoys; the in water Start/Finsh line will be marked by two 48 "buoys and Strobes. A chart will be available with all pertinent course information at the Pre-Race Meeting.

Water Temperature: | The Minimum/Maximum/Mean Average for June 7th is: 18/26/23 degrees Celsius.

Warm Up: | Area within the rental boat buoy boundaries will be available for warm-up from 7:00 to 8:00 AM.

Supervision: | Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers and for cleaning up their team
areas.

Concessions: | There will be no concessions available for this meet.
Post-race refreshments will be available for competitors.

Spectator Caution: | Using bug repellent is recommended. There will be no lifeguard for non-competitors.
Wading and swimming is not allowed.
| Directions: |
To reach Pohick Bay, take I-95 south of the Beltway and exit at Lorton. Turn left on Lorton Road, right on Armistead Road, right on Route 1 and left on Gunston Road. Continue 3 miles to golf course on left; go another 4 miles to main park. Entry to park is free for spectators and swimmers. Follow signs to Boat Rentals for swimmer drop off.
Park only in designated shelter or pool parking areas. Please do not park in boat rental or ramp parking lots.
| Facilities: | The Pohick Bay park swimming pool Bathhouse is open to swimmers for changing and showers after the race(s). Please do not enter the pool deck.
| Awards: | Male and Female First, Second and Third Place medals will be awarded in each event.
| Fees: | $20 per individual, includes event t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Checks payable to "Curl-Burke Swim Club."
