10 & U Session Warm-Up 11:00 - 11:50 AM Events 12:00 PM 13& O Session Warm-Up 2:00 - 2:50 PM Events 3:00 PM
ELIGIBILITY:
Open to all Potomac Valley registered athletes. Contestants may not have bettered the No Faster Than times (NFT) listed.
ALL INDIVIDUAL EVENTS 200 YARDS OR MORE WILL REQUIRE POSITIVE CHECK-IN.
RULES:
Current USA Swimming rules shall govern the meet.
Athletes who do not check in will be scratched. Athletes who check in and do not swim will be scratched from their next event.
Swimmers may enter a maximum of six events for the meet, and no more than three events per session, not including relays. If the meet is larger than expected, the sessions will be run dual course.
WARNING:
Any club that enters an unregistered athlete, falsifies an entry in any way, or permits an unregistered coach to represent them will be fined the sum of $100.00 per violation. No further entries will be accepted from that Club until this fine is paid.
SUPERVISION:
Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their swimmers, and should help clean up their respective team area.
WARM-UP:
The prescribed Potomac Valley Swimming warm-up procedures and safety policies will be followed. The Meet Director will determine the structure of warm-up, including times and lane assignments. There will be lanes open for continuous warm up / warm down throughout the meet.
AWARDS:
Ribbons awarded for 1st - 8th place for individual events.
OFFICIALS:
Officials assigned to this meet should sign in at the recording table at the start of warm-ups. Certified officials who have not been contacted should volunteer their services to the Referee.
TIMERS:
One timer (per club) is required for every 25 entries. Each club is required to submit the names of those timers who have agreed to time on the club master entry sheet. The number of timers will be adjusted when clubs provide other key officials. Acceptance of the Club entry is based upon compliance with the above. FAST will provide one timer per lane.
ADMISSION:
There is no admission charge. Meet programs for each session will be available for $2.00.
FEES:
Fees for individual events are $4.00, and $8.00 for relays. Each club is requested to remit one check to cover entry fees for the entire team.
ENTRIES:
The Meet Directors will not accept phone entries.
RELAYS:
Teams may enter a maximum of two relays per event. Each relay should be submitted on the PVS Master Entry sheet, along with a PVS entry card. Any swimmer already qualified for an event at the Joe Jacoby Invitational may not swim that same stroke and distance on a relay. If the preliminary time line exceeds 4 hours, relays will NOT be swum in that particular session.

Entries must be received by Tuesday, November 20th.
